US Tours

In March 2008 a 16 man PASS4SOCCER Team visited Charlotte in North Carolina on a game and educational visit. The squad trained at University of North Carolina Charlotte and played 3 official matches against Belmont Abbey College, Louisburg College and Winthrop University. PASS4SOCCER visits varying types and sizes of institutions to give student athletes the best opportunity and experience.

A total of 40 universities (4 year institutions) and junior colleges (2 year institutions) attended or were represented at the training sessions and games, some attending once and others all 4 days. Such high numbers as with PASS4SOCCER Showcases is down to the high reputation built up with US coaches, our assessment types and recommendation methods.

It is gratifying to report that all but three members of 2008 Tour Team Squad secured places in US 2 or 4 year institutions for 2008. Of the others, 2 sustained serious post tour injuries preventing them from taking up offers. It is also worth mentioning that the PFA Scholars attending remarked about the high standard of opposition and the obvious need of all the guys to step up to the next levels.  

Sure beats a cramped Mini-Bus!
