Team visit to Charlotte, NC March 2008

Dan Gray newly appointed UK operations manager said, " We knew the schedule would be tough with a training scrimmage plus 3 games in 4 days and so it proved".

The weather turned out to be beautifil peaking at about 75 degrees. Following training at UNC Charlotte, the PASS4 Tour team  played matches against Belmont Abbey, Louisburg College and Winthrop University. Main striker Ben Waller sustained an ankle injury 3 days prior to departure and could manage only 30 minutes in the final game, but the team still scored 6 goals in 3 closely contested games.

The players captained by Tom Clark from Harvey's Grammar School in Canterbury Kent were treated to great hospitality and toured 4 campuses seeing fabulous facilities. And, of course pizza and shopping were the most popular pastimes off the pitch.

Tom Clark said, " The tour really opened our eyes a lot further and showed us all the great opportunities to further our careers and gain a good degree in an amazing and huge country where the standard of the game is so high. I really enjoyed the whole trip from the games to the lads I shared the experience with."

Barry Poole added, "Tom like most of the Tour Team players generated significant interest from over 30 coaches who travelled from all over the US including Arizona, Texas, Mississippi, Ohio, Virginia, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee and from within North Carolina to see the games.Coaches attending the final game at Winthrop University in Rock Hill SC were very complementary about the players stamina after such a physically demanding schedule."

Team members were Michael Robertshaw, Rafa Simmons, Kharis Lavine, Tom Ingall, Donal Roughneen, Charlie McCarthy, Tom Clark, Daniel Meade, Henry Glendinning, Will Jarvis-Smith, Jonny Lake, Owen White, Stephen Behan, Ben Spilman, Ben Waller and  Jacob Bennett. Accompanying the party were Barry Poole UK director and Dan Gray. Team Coaches were Philip Poole and Derrick Leeson.
