Matthew Lodge, the former Pass4Soccer athlete and current Freshman at the University of Kentucky has been named as a Freshman All American by Soccer America and College Soccer News.

Lodge, from Rossington, England had a stand out season in his first year in the USA leading the University of Kentucky with 6 goals and 2 assists from midfield, scoring 3 game winning goals during the campaign.

During the season Lodge was also named in the Soccer America 'National Team of the Week' announced 15 September 2009. In the same week Lodge was named the Conference USA (C-USA) 'Offensive Player of the Week' for scoring 2 goals in a 2-1 win over SIUE and having an assist against UIC helping his team to a 4-0-0 start to the season.

Matthew joined another player Pass4Soccer athlete Jason Griffiths at University of Kentucky this year. Griffiths will graduate this year and be pursuing options to play Professional Soccer after his stellar 4 year career with UK Head Coach Ian Collins.
