DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
According to national media this week, figures published by the Higher Education Careers Service Unit show almost 45% of students who graduated in 2009 did so with debts exceeding £20,000 with a National Average of some £16,000. These figures however are lower than earlier finding from larger surveys.
Many UK graduates are also experiencing significant periods of unemployment and taking up non-graduate jobs at a time when other figures, released concurrently by UCAS, show that in some areas university applications are down by 20% arising from the increase in costs and higher tuition fees.
The P4S Office is pleased in the wake of these depressing, but not unexpected figures, to announce that the numbers of prospective student athletes applying to Pass4Soccer for soccer places in the American soccer collegiate systems has increased considerably over the past 2 years.
The demand for quality footballers with good academic results continues to increase. Both male and female players who join the P4S Network are being rewarded with extremely valuable scholarships across the board at American universities.
Over 25% of P4S female players won fully funded places in Fall 2012 with an average cost of tuition accommodation and food less than £2000 in Year 1. For the males the corresponding figures at 15% and £4750 in Year 1 on average.
According to Director Daniel Gray, “ We are now firmly focussed on recruiting for Fall 2014 and Fall 2015 with the expectation that the trend will continue as our relationship with American universities grow stronger and our partnerships and reputation with the grass root bodies especially in England and Ireland become more widely recognised.”
